Everest - take 2!

Almost exactly a year ago I wrote on this blog saying that I should be off to Everest at the end of March. Well as most of you know due to the problems in Tibet that trip did not take place. The good news is that it is all systems go for this year.

My approximate itinerary is as follows:

29 March Arrive Kathmandu (1,317m)
30 Kathmandu
31 Kathmandu – Lukla (2,840m) – Phakding (2,610m)
01 April Phakding – Namche Bazar (3,440m)
02 Namche Bazar – Khumjung (3,780m)
03 Khumjung
04 Khumjung – Tengboche (3,860m)
05 Tengboche – Dingboche (4,410)
06 Dingboche – Lobuche (4,910m)
07 Lobuche
08 Lobuche
09 Lobuche – Everest BC (5,140m)
10 Everest BC

11 April – Everest Climbing
29 May Everest Climbing

30 May Everest BC
01 June Everest BC – Lobuche
02 Lobuche – Pangboche (3,930m)
03 Pangboche – Namche Bazar
04 Namche Bazar – Lukla
05 Lukla – Kathmandu
06 Kathmandu
07 Depart Kathmandu

I will write to this blog and post pictures as often as I can but this is unlikely to start before 10th April when I am due to reach Base Camp.

Happy reading and i look forward to your comments.
